Naruto Games - Naruto 3 Reunion of the Strongest Ninja (Japanese Version) Nintendo DS NDS w/ Free NDS Cover
One of the earliest titles announced for the DS was Naruto from Tomy. Based off the manga and cartoon of the same name, little was revealed on this DS entry, aside from a screenshot that looked like nothing more than a mock-up. In the meantime, sources in Japan have revealed that the Naruto game in question is actually Naruto: Saikyo Ninja Daikesshu 3, a DS sequel to the two Naruto action/fighters that Tomy released for the Game Boy Advance.

This naruto game seemed pretty short to me (beat it in like 9hours). even in hard some of the missions were not very difficult and there are just a handfull the you have to try over and over to complete.
but what makes it fun is that it is very interactive.for every jutsu, you have to do something on your touch screen like blowing poking points or matching symbols and it does have a large variety of playable characters inclluding the curse mark sound 5 and sasuke and nine tailed naruto that are not in the english version. as for the language barrier once you get the hang of the controls and remember the symbols representing the jutsu all you need is a mission guide which isnt hard to find on the internet a guide for the english version will work too because they are basically the same game ^^
i think that japanese isnt really necesary to enjoy this game , but i guess it would help.

Naruto Games - Naruto Ninja Council 2
This is a great game. You have the option of playing all three characters (Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura) while going through levels. Each character has three combo moves that are true to the series. For example, Naruto can use his 'Sexy Jutsu' to stun enemies, his multiplying jutsu, and the one where he slams his fist down to summon that huge frog guy.. - yeah I don't know the names of all those but you get my point!

Naruto Games - Naruto Uzumaki Chronicles 2

Naruto Games

Naruto Games - Naruto Uzumaki Chronicles 2
The actual combat holds up to the mechanics established in the first game, with a solid lock-on system and special attacks mapped to a shoulder button that show off each of the playable character's moves. Here's the caveat: The enemies are pushovers, including most of the bosses, which really makes Uzumaki Chronicles 2 feel like a cakewalk. It's nice that you can get a second player in for some co-op shenanigans, but when the base game is so simple and easy, that's little compensation.
The real meat of the Uzumaki experience is in customizing each character's Skill Plate, which is like a weird game of Tetris where you fit skill "chips" into a geometric box. You can tweak a character's attributes to make him more effective in-game, but there's nothing in the game to really compel you to play as other characters unless you really want to play Kakashi or Sakura instead of Naruto.

Naruto Games - Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2

Naruto Games

Naruto Games - Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2
The Path of Ninja series isn't what you'd expect from a conventional Naruto videogame. An outlier in a licensed market dominated by Naruto fighting games, the first Path of Ninja concentrated on exploration and methodical character development in a role-playing-game setting instead of the hypersensitive reflexes and complex metagames of a Naruto fighter. Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2 aims to expand its RPG roots, but its execution falls flat -- it's a largely forgettable advanture whose shortcomings overshadow its potential, and it's a largely unappealing one for an audience unfamiliar with the Naruto brand.

Even passionate Naruto fans (like myself) will have a hard time overlooking the problems. Path of Ninja 2's narrative lacks the energy to keep things interesting; bearing no relationship to the official timeline, the story revolves around the threat of a powerful Spirit Beast (a giant catfish!) that can only be stopped with five mirrors. Of course, Naruto and his friends must find all five mirrors before the catfish awakens. Throughout the game, plot devices rarely deviate from the story engendered at the beginning, and as a result, the experience becomes predictable and stale.
Naruto: Path of Ninja 2 is a missed opportunity, lacking consistency and polish. Fans may embrace the game for the Naruto brand alone, but the story and unadventurous level designs will fail to keep their interest. At least the battle mechanics are a step in the right direction

Naruto Games - Naruto: Ninja Council 3

Naruto Games

Naruto Games - Naruto: Ninja Council 3

In this world there are two types of Naruto games -- good ones like Naruto: Ultimate Ninja and Naruto: Clash of Ninja -- and then there are the others. Ninja Council 3 falls in the latter category. A clear-cut exercise in anime franchise license-milking, NC3 offers rudimentary minigames as sole sustenance for hungry Naruto-starved gamers. A meager two modes define the game: Mission mode and Party mode.

In the single-player Mission Bingo Panel, assorted missions are plucked from the 49 unchecked boxes -- missions with meaningless, context-free exercises like "Foot Race! Get to the checkpoint before Sakura!" Anyone with even a glancing familiarity with the anime/manga series will find little inspiration or enjoyment from struggling to find some inconveniently placed goal while a fiendishly annoying Sakura hits you en route to your destination. Gamers experiencing missions like "The Catcher! Break objects and find the dog!" will likely end up with their eyes glazed over as this minigame war of attrition forces you to continually smash open pots until said "random" dog appears. The lack of care imbued in NC3 extends to the lazy localization found in missions like "Gather Medicine!" which implores you to "Gather 10 medicine!" Other complex tasks (note: sarcasm), like breaking 20 rocks or defeating 30 wolves, are often made quite unfair, with cheap collision detection, zero invincibility given to fallen players, and other glitchy gameplay ailments stacked against the player. The various Chi attacks offered to presumably balance such shortcomings are usually rendered ineffective by the aforementioned issues as well as poor input response and the lack of autotracking (you're usually facing the wrong way when you launch a special attack).
